With Calma, a baby can finally apply the same feeding behaviour learned at the breast, when consuming expressed human milk. This allows for seamless transition between breast and Calma, eliminating Nipple Confusion. Just like when breastfeeding, baby latches onto the teat of Calma by creatinga vacuum. Once the vacuum has been established, the baby uses his or hertongue to increase or decrease the level of the vacuum.  When the vacuum isat baseline, milk will not flow through Calma. However, when a baby increasesthe level of the vacuum, Calma allows the milk to pass through the teat intothe babys mouth.
