Giftstart Cash Fund Terms & Fees

Cash Fund Terms & Conditions

By creating and using Cash Funds on Giftstart, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Fee Structure:

  • Giftstart Processing Fee: Giftstart charges a processing fee of 0.99% on contributions made to Cash Funds.
  • Square Processing Fee: Square, our payment processing partner, charges a fee of 2.9% plus 30 cents for each contribution.
  • Interac eTransfer Fee: A fee of $1.50 will be applied for each Interac eTransfer.

2. Cash Fund Creation:

  • You may create one or more Cash Funds as part of your baby registry.
  • You can specify the contribution amount or choose to allow unlimited contributions.
  • Set a due date or end date for each Cash Fund to determine when contributions are collected.

3. Contribution Handling:

  • Giftstart will transfer all contributions from your Cash Fund via Interac eTransfer within 5-15 business days after the due date or end date.

4. Customization and Editing:

  • You can customize your Cash Fund by setting the contribution amount and other details.
  • You have the flexibility to edit or close a Cash Fund at any time before the due date or end date.

5. Contribution Goals:

  • If the set contribution goal is not reached by the due date, the funds contributed will still be transferred as scheduled.

6. Payment Security:

  • Giftstart uses Square for payment processing, ensuring the highest level of security and convenience for both contributors and recipients.

7. Use of Funds:

  • Funds received through Cash Funds can be used at your discretion, even if the contribution goal is not met.

8. Responsibility:

  • Giftstart is not responsible for the fulfillment of items or services associated with your baby registry or Cash Funds.

9. Agreement Acceptance:

  • By creating a Cash Fund on Giftstart, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.
